SocieTree - Beaumont Park Planting Day

YGS Environmental Consultants are proudly involved with SocieTree and its mission ‘to deliver a greener more sustainable future for our society, and ultimately measure the impacts that we have on the environment and our society. SocieTree will be uniquely placed to support our partners in quantifying the value of installed projects and act as a catalyst for corporate social responsibility, the green agenda, and societal environmental education for our combined futures.’

The images below were taken during one of SocieTree’s planting days at Beaumont Park in Plymouth. Where the local primary school children were given the opportunity to plant young tree whips to create a micro-forest, a planting method inspired by the work of Dr. Akira Miyawaki, the 2006 Blue Planet award-winning Japanese botanist.
