YGS Environmental Consultants is led by Adam King and Steve Warren-Brown. Between them, they have more than 50 years of experience in the landscape profession and share a passion for placemaking and the environment.

They are both passionate environmentalists who are committed to creating a green legacy and encouraging others to do the same. They are huge advocates of the landscape industry and tirelessly promote the landscape sector as a career of real choice.


  • FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Adam is a highly experienced Chartered Landscape Architect. He has a passion for designing landscapes that respond intelligently to the culture and social fabric of a place, and counter the challenges of climate change, sustainability and resilience. He has taken major design and management roles in ground-breaking and award-winning projects, where his strong leadership skills and creative design talent were pivotal to project success.


  • LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

    Viola is a passionate Landscape Architect and Artist. Her love for art and the natural world drives her creative designs and her innate ability to harmoniously blend human needs with the environment. Viola likes to integrate nature back into people’s everyday life and create unique, intelligent sustainable solutions for the changing world.


  • FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

    Steve is a highly acclaimed landscape designer and contractor who has worked on an exceptionally broad spectrum of high-profile landscape schemes. These range from the development of Gold Medal winning gardens at the Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows, to the construction of large scale commercial landscapes.

We are a socially responsible business and pride ourselves upon the roles we currently play within our local communities including work with local charities and community groups.

We believe in supporting our community through the development and training of young people, providing opportunities that turn into fulfilling careers.

YGS Environmental Consultants provides significant opportunities for young people within the region to develop their skills as environmental practitioners.

We are also looking at creating our own training facilities, not only to support the landscape industries talent pool, but also to improve the awareness of the industry as a whole.

    We are looking for candidates with excellent CAD and graphics skills, experience in landscape planning projects, detailed design and construction detailing along with experience in the production of planting schedules and specifications.
